Decatur County 4-H Fair Parade Line-Up Announced

Media Release:

The parade will kick off at 4:00 PM on Sunday July 13th, with line-up and set-up beginning at 2:00 PM. This year’s theme is “The Year of the Farmer”. Parade line-up is on Ireland St in front of the Sheriff’s Department.

Our 2025 Grand Marshal will be honoring families who have received the Sequential or Bicentennial Farm recognition. We’re proud to celebrate the following families for their dedication and contributions to agriculture:
2025 Parade Grand Marshals

The Hamilton Batterton Family, Miller Family, Miller- Hahn Family, Spillman Family, Schwering Family, and the McCoy Family

Four $25 awards will be given out in the following categories:

  • Best entry representing the theme “The Year of the Farmer”
  • Most enthusiastic entry
  • Best overall design
  • Entry with the most participants (riders or walkers)

Parade Route:
The parade will start on Ireland Street, turn right onto W Park Road, and continue until reaching the road next to the Animal Shelter, following the path shown in the map below.

The line-up for the parade is provided below. If you did not pre-register, please feel free to show up the day of the parade. Just let the organizers know that you did not pre-register and they will get you placed.
