Decatur County Commissioners

The Decatur County Commissioners met on Monday.

Todd Houk gave an update on the highway department. They have finished paving on all Community Crossing Grants and are now working on grading stone roads. Bridge 73 is nearly done and just needs road alignment for completion. They continue to do patching and mowing.

Kenny Buening gave an update. There have been 46 building inspections, 19 new building permits, 1 permit renewal, and 2 red tags on final inspections.

Brian Walterman came to the board to request the use of facilities for the Jaylin Strong Turkey Noodle Drive Thru. They have set a tentative date of December 17 however are waiting to closer to the date for insurance. This was tabled until proof of insurance.

Director of Main Street Greensburg Rose Cronley came to the board to request the use of facilities for the Holiday Walk. This will be December 3 from 9 am to 8 pm and they did have proof of insurance. This was approved.

The board approved for a banner to be placed for New Directions from October 1-31 on the SW corner of the square.

Rick Anderson with Veregy came to discuss refined details of the court services building upgrades. The project will total in $2,707,656 and can be advertised over a 20 years period. This was tabled for further review.
