The Greensburg Board of Works met on Tuesday.
Ashley Schwering with the Decatur County Girl Scouts came to the board requesting to use the walking trail for their Cookie Crumbles 5K. This year they will have a safety coordinator, crossing guards at all 5 crossings, and someone trained in CPR/First Aid. The 5k will be on March 19 at 9 am. This was approved.
Fire Chief Nathan Stoermer came to the board to request 3 internal promotions. They are for Curtis Lewis for Assistant Chief, Troy Harmon for Captain, and Jerry Prentiss for Lieutenant. These were approved. Stoermer also requested that the board consider a nominee from the board for a working group for the fire station project.
