Greensburg Community Schools participated in the 2025 ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest on Saturday February 1, 2025. The students were led by Mrs. Heather Simpson Choral Director for the Greensburg Jr. High & High School.
Bringing home gold and advancing to state were Ava Roszelle, & Madeline Shrader.
Bringing home gold for their outstanding performances were Phoebe Campbell, Lilly Ramey, Kate Huffmeyer, Katie Fisse, Brookin Puckett, Cayley Wolferst, James Pittman, Keirra Carpenter, Ethan Miller, Harper Ford, Madeline Risher, and Mark Anderson. Their achievements added to the team’s success, proving their dedication to their craft.
Kate Huffmeyer, Madeline Risher, and Samora Schroder earned silver, their performances demonstrating skill and promise. Meanwhile, Lilyan Lemus, Abby Hoffman, Amaris Graham, and Cooper Bannister proudly received bronze, a reflection of their hard work and determination.
With medals in hand and music in their hearts, the students of Greensburg Community Schools left the contest knowing that their efforts had paid off. For some, the journey would continue at the state level, while for others, this achievement was a steppingstone to even greater performances in the future.
