On 11/9/2023 at approximately 4:00 PM, Deputy Matt Miller of the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office while on routine patrol located a vehicle that had been stolen from Greensburg a couple days earlier. Deputy Miller found the vehicle at Circle K at the corner of State and Main Street in North Vernon and it was being operated by Donald Mccullough. This is the same subject that led our deputies on a vehicle pursuit back on October 25th. It is believed that he stole this vehicle because his truck from that prior incident is still impounded.
Deputy Miller and Sheriff Freeman approached and apprehended Mccullough as he exited the store and attempted to get back into the vehicle to leave. There were two other occupants in the vehicle that were later released after it was determined they did not have knowledge that the vehicle was stolen.
Mccullough was placed under arrested and booked into the Jennings County Jail facing these allegatioins
Possession of a stolen vehicle
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of a controlled substance
Possession of marijuana
Possession of controlled substance in a penal facility
Mccullough was being held on double the standard bond since he was released from the previous incident with a promise to appear (pta). He has since been released.
The vehicle was successfully returned to the registered owner.
