North Decatur battled Knightstown in round one of the Edinburg Sectional. The game was off to a slow start with back and forth play. The end of the first quarter had the Chargers up by one point 11-10. The Panthers battled back but with several tie scores they were unable to hold the lead. The second quarter ended in a tie score of 24-24. The Chargers had their first significant lead of the game in the third quarter. North Decatur dominated leading at the end of the third 38-31. The fourth quarter was plagued by turnovers for the Chargers. North was able to maintain a small lead over the Panthers. Final Score North Decatur 50 Knightstown 43. North Decatur advances to game two against Waldron at 6pm Friday March 7.
