Albert George Lichtenberger, Jr, 58

Albert George Lichtenberger, Jr., 58, of Westport, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Albert George Lichtenberger, Sr. & Carolyn P. (Phillips) Lichtenberger Asher. He had lived in Jacksonville and Lawtey, Florida until the age of 15 and has been a Decatur County resident for the past 43 years. Albert had worked for the New Point Truck Stop for over 38 years and then started working for Billman Trucking. He enjoyed mudslinging, fishing especially cat fishing, hunting and working on vehicles. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He married Esther Lynn Bockover in Greensburg on September 7, 1984 and she survives. Other survivors include his step mother, Louise Lichtenberger of Stark, Florida, his daughters, Barbara (Fiancé-Josh Benham) Lichtenberger of Holton, Michelle (Lance) Hobbs of Millhousen and Brittney (Fiancé-Hunter Waters) Lichtenberger of Westport; his sons, Randall (Jackie) Lichtenberger of Westport and Charles (Fiancée-Brandi Watson) Lichtenberger of New Point; his sisters, Gaylynn (Butch) Peters of and Cindy (Marvin) Wilson both of Greensburg; his step sister, Lori Woods of Florida; his step brothers, William P. Starling of Florida and Robert Starling of Raleigh, NC and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents ; his brother, David Aaron Lichtenberger and his grandson, Zariah David Lichtenberger. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with

Gary Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
