Brenda M. Bedel, 69, of Walton, Indiana passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born on July 10, 1952 in Greensburg, the daughter of William Henry and Lillian May (LeMasters) Heath. She was raised in Westport and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, listening to music and singing. She married Thomas Bedel on May 2, 1998 in Oldenburg. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2012. Survivors include her sons, Israel (Crystal) Vinson of Logansport and Andrew (Michael Stephenson) Vinson of Walton, Indiana; sisters, Teresa (Zon) Moore of Greensburg, Michelle Heath and Melinda Heath both of Westport, Dolly Brown and Rome League both of North Vernon; brothers,Jeffrey Heath, Preston “Jake” Heath and Scott Heath all of North Vernon; grandchildren, Henry Vinson, Cassandra (Zach) Giddings, Israel D. Vinson and 4 great grandchildren, Jaxon Giddings, Gage Giddings, Octavia Giddings and James Vinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Carlotta Johnson; brothers, Coy Heath and Henry Alan Heath. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are recommended.
