Darren Lee Tungate, 50, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020at University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Born December 15, 1970 in Greensburg, he was the son of Granville Lee Tungateand Linda (Knight) Tungate. Survivors include 6 children- Elijah S. Tungate, Ella E. Tungate, Elexi P. Tungate, Eva M. Tungate, Evan B. Tungate, Erika I. Tungate, all of Greensburg; and a sisterAshlee Green (husband Scott) of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by hisfather Lee and his grandparents.
Mr. Tungate was a lifelong resident of this area, and owned and operated Guy’sMarket in Westport. He had previously been a production worker at Gecom for30 years. He graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1988, andwas a member of Apostolic Truth Tabernacle in Greensburg. Darren enjoyed fishing and attending flea markets. He loved family get togethers,and going out to eat with his family, and having a good time.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, 1114 Westridge Parkway, with Pastor Jeff Sangl officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery in Decatur County. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday morning, at the church, from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Darren Lee Tungate Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
