Doris “Kathleen” Boone, 97, of Greensburg, passed away on May 5, 2024. She was born on September 13, 1926 in Guilford, Indiana the daughter of Earl and Jane Mason Grubbs. Kathleen was a 1942 graduate of Greensburg High School and a 1947 graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. On July 31, 1948 she married William D. Boone and together they had four children: David, Nancy, Fred and Mary Jane.  Kathleen was a member of the United States WWII Cadet Nurse Corps, Tri Kappa, the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution (Lone Tree), and the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: Children, David (Jackie) Boone, Nancy (Don) Schutte, Fred (Edith Yorn) Boone, Mary Jane Boone; Grandchildren, Julie Merrill, Brenda Boone, Ginger Boone, Ryan Schutte, Rebecca Kennelly, Fred Boone Jr., Scott Boone, Travis Amburgey; 22 Great Grandchildren; and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Grandchildren, Kellen Healey and Katy Healey; Great  Great Grandchild, Hadley Elaine Stone and Brother, Theron Grubbs.
