Frank L. Rousey, Sr., 85, of Greensburg, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday,
January 18, 2022 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. He was born on
September 20, 1936 in Dupont, the son of John Franklin and Edith Marie (Kelly)
Rousey. He was raised in Jennings County and moved to Greensburg in 1948. He was
a member of Burney Baptist Church and attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in
Adams. He was also a Sunday school teacher at the Bible/Faith Baptist Church in
Greensburg for many years. Frank had enjoyed bowling for 16 years and had won 25
championships. He married Carolyn Sue Martin in Burney on October 1, 1956 and
she preceded him in death on January 5, 2018. Survivors include his daughters,
Jewelene A. Hess and Kathy Turner both of Greensburg and Lori Scudder of
Westport; his son, Frank L. Rousey, Jr. of Greensburg; his sister, Mary Demaree
of New Point; his half-sister, Rosa J. Croddy of New Point; his 10 grandchildren
and his 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step
father, Howard Dean; wife, Carolyn Sue Rousey; great grandson, Zariah David
Lichtenberger; sisters, Eddie Alzora Rousey and Loretta Hanjy; half-sister,
Carolyn Walkie and brother, Charles Albert Rousey. The funeral services will be
conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral
Home in Westport with Rev. Keith Dover officiating. Burial will follow at the
Milford Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022
from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
