Frank R. Schreiner, Sr., 91

Frank R. Schreiner, Sr., 91, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. He was born November 9, 1930 in Shelby County, Indiana the son of Edward J. and Ruth F. (Mabee) Schreiner.

Frank graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1948. He served in the Air Force from 1948 through 1954. He was a farmer. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Eagles Lodge, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. He enjoyed dancing with his wife at many venues in the area.

He was married to Dorothy I. Brancamp on September 4, 1950 in Millhousen and she survives.

He is also survived by four children, Frank (Janet) Schreiner, Jr, Greensburg, Edward J. Schreiner, Louisville, Pauline Rose (Ronald) Bales, Florida, Patricia I. (Scott) Matus, Texas; one brother, Donald (Kathy) Schreiner, Carmel; one sister, Joan (Dennis) Tebbe, Madison; 8 grandchildren, Eric, Erin, Tammy, Angie, Michele, Robbie, Nicole, and Craig; several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul “Bud” Schreiner, John Schreiner, Jim Schreiner; sisters, Lucille Youngman, Ruth Marie Herbert, and Betty Sandhage.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow until the time of the funeral mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
