Larry Melvin Fry, 77

Larry Melvin Fry, 77, of Greensburg passed away early Monday, September 12, 2022 at Morning Breeze.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and a funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Burial with military graveside services will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in
Millhousen.
Born August 1, 1945 in Greensburg, Larry was the son of Delmar and Evelyn (Eden) Fry.
He graduated from Jac-Cen-Del High School in 1963. He joined the Army right after high school until 1966. He served in Korea. While in the Army, Larry became a photographer which led to him becoming a photographer at Cummins until he retired. He
was also a wedding photographer for many years. He married Carol Owen in June of 1970. Larry also known as “Hollywood” to his close friends sang and played guitar at many local bars. He loved all kinds of music from classical to Elvis.
Larry also had a passion for cooking, baking, beer and wine making. Most weekends you could hear music blaring from the kitchen while he was cooking a gourmet meal or processing a new batch of wine. Family and traditions were very important to Larry. He loved watching his grandkids play baseball, basketball, softball, and band performances. Favorite traditions include making homemade noodles for Thanksgiving, fishing during the summer, and Christmas Eve lunch out which started when his daughters were young and has continued to grow in size. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Evelyn Fry and cousin, Don
Wilmer.
Larry is survived by his wife, Carol (Owen) Fry, daughters, Mandy (Craig) Reynolds and Wendy (Maurice) Bohman, grandkids, Corey and Trevor Reynolds and Madelyn, Taylor and Riley Bohman, brothers, Dave (Paula) Fry, Steve Fry and Rick Fry as well as
nephews Eric, Tim, Brian Fry and Jr. Owen.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or the American Cancer Society.
