Larry W. Hammond, 78, of Osgood, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 18,
2025, at Franciscan Health of Indianapolis. He was born on October 15, 1946
in Lafayette, the son of Harold B. and Lucille (Ferguson) Hammond. Larry lived
most of his life in the Greensburg area and worked at Printpack for 35 years,
Batesville Tool and Die for 10 years and for CDR sorting. He enjoyed tinkering
with cars and was a Veteran having served with the U.S. Navy. He married Bobbi
Childress on August 3, 1974, in Greensburg, and she survives along with his
daughter, Suzette (Johnny) Williams of Rushville; his sons, Larry B. (Lori)
Hammond and Ian (Shelley) Hammond both of Osgood, Shane (Amanda) Hammond of
Batesville; his sisters, Karen Boltman, Molly Hammond and Beth Bryant all of
Greensburg; his ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by his parents. Following Larry’s wishes he will be cremated and will
have a celebration of his life at a later date. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home and
Crematory have been entrusted with the cremation. Memorial contributions may be
