This year’s outing set new records, not just in participation but also in the number of tents on the course. A total of 9 tents, the highest in the event’s history, dotted the landscape, each representing local businesses and sponsors that contribute to our community. These tents provided opportunities for interaction, promotional activities, and refreshments, adding to the lively atmosphere of the day.
As we look forward to next year, excitement is already building for the 40th Annual Golf Outing. This milestone event is expected to be even bigger and better, drawing in even more participants and supporters as the chamber celebrate four decades of community engagement and business support. Dawn Lowe, Chamber Executive Director mentioned big plans for the 40th, we tried to get a sneak peak of what she is thinking but was told we would have to wait and see.
The funds raised from the Golf Outing are crucial in helping the Greensburg Decatur County Chamber of Commerce fulfill its mission to serve and support over 365 members. This event not only strengthens the ties within our business community but also helps sustain the Chamber’s efforts to foster economic growth and development in Greensburg and Decatur County.
A special recognition goes to Caitlynn Osting, the Chamber of Commerce’s summer intern, who played a pivotal role in the success of this year’s Golf Outing. Caitlynn took on the primary responsibility for organizing and planning the event, and her dedication and hard work were evident in every aspect of the outing. From coordinating with teams and sponsors to ensuring the day ran smoothly, Caitlynn’s efforts were truly commendable, and all were grateful for her contributions.
