Clarence Michael “Mike” Powers, 69

Clarence Michael “Mike” Powers, 69, of Osgood, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on June 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on September 5, 1956, in Virginia, the son of Michael M. Powers and Edna Mae (Forwalt) Powers. He was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family values that guided him throughout his life.

Following his graduation from high school, Mike proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, he entered the logging industry, where he became known as one of the toughest and hardest-working men in the business. His dedication, determination, and willingness to tackle any challenge earned him the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in watching future generations grow.

Mike is survived by his children, Nick (Jeni) Powers, Michelle Powers, and Rachel Nelson; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael M. Powers and Edna Mae (Forwalt) Powers, and his sister, Patricia Stuehrenberg.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial and military honors will take place at Union Flat Rock Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
