Laura Ann Buell, 60, of Greensburg, passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Franciscan Health Campus in Indianapolis. She was born on May 7, 1961 in Greensburg, the daughter of Joe Michael & Gloria Jean (Pearson) Shoemake. She was a lifelong resident of Greensburg. Laura had graduated from Greensburg High School in 1979 and from Ivy Tech Community College. She was an RN having retired in 2019 from doing Home Health Care. She was a member of the Lifeline Wesleyan Church where she served as a board member. She was also a member of the Rainbow Girls and Order of Eastern Star in Greensburg. Laura enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, painting rocks and listening to Gospel Music. She married Thomas Lowell Buell on October 17, 1999 in Greensburg and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2002. Survivors include her daughter, Lacey J Buell of Greensburg; her step-daughter, Danielle (Adam) Ellis of Milroy; her brother, Michael Wilborn Shoemake of Greensburg; her granddaughter, Leah Ellis and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents & husband. The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with cremation to follow service. Pastor Nathan Muncie will be officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at the Union Baptist Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are recommended.
