Hot Turkey Salad: A Classic Comfort Dish

If you’re looking for a warm, savory way to use up leftover holiday turkey (or any cooked chicken!), you’ve found your new favorite recipe. This Hot Turkey Salad is a true vintage classic, combining tender turkey, crunchy celery and almonds, and a creamy, tangy mayonnaise dressing. Topped with rich American cheese and a satisfying crunch of crushed potato chips, it bakes quickly into a bubbly, comforting casserole that’s perfect for a light dinner or lunch. Get ready to bake a little nostalgia in an 11×7 dish!

Hot Turkey Salad

2 c. turkey, cooked & cubed

1 c. celery, chopped

1/2 c. almonds, toasted-slivered

2/3 c. mayonnaise

1/2 c. grated Amer. cheese

1/2 t. salt 2 t. onion, grated

2 T. lemon juice

1 c. crushed potato chips

Combine all ingredients except potato chips & cheese. Toss lightly. Turn into 11x7x1-1/2″ baking dish. Sprinkle with potato chips & cheese. Bake at 450 deg. for 10 min. Yield 6 portions. (Chicken may be substituted for turkey).
